Overview

If you find yourself near Irvine’s bustling Northpark H Mart, K-Town Korean Foods is a spot worth discovering. Nestled conveniently within the market at 3931 Irvine Blvd, this Korean restaurant offers a genuine taste of homestyle Korean cooking without pretense. The location makes it perfect for a quick lunch break or a casual meal while shopping, attracting locals and Korean cuisine enthusiasts alike who seek authentic flavors in a relaxed environment.

What truly sets K-Town apart is its balance between quality and affordability. Many dishes draw from classic Korean staples—think bibimbap served in sizzling stone pots, tender LA 갈비 (beef short ribs) marinated to savory perfection, and comforting stews like 순두부찌개 (soft tofu stew) and 된장찌개 (fermented soybean paste stew). Portions are generous, giving diners a satisfying experience whether they come solo or with family.

Patrons consistently praise the depth and authenticity of flavors, with selections like spicy octopus bibimbap standing out for their bold seasoning and fresh ingredients. The menu has grown sturdier over time, introducing hearty options like donkatsu and yukgaejang that continue to impress returning customers. The food manages to capture that familiar Korean warmth—meals that nurture and delight simultaneously.

The dining space, while modest, promotes a casual and approachable vibe. It’s neither a formal restaurant nor just fast food; rather, it bridges the gap with friendly service and a no-pressure atmosphere. This invites a wide range of guests—from office workers seeking a quick, fulfilling lunch to families eager to share authentic Korean meals without the fuss of tipping or upscale dining decorum.

For those who appreciate Korean comfort dishes and crave a reliable spot with consistent quality inside a familiar market setting, K-Town Korean Foods hits the mark. It combines the essence of traditional Korean cuisine with the convenience of a food court while still feeling like a proper meal rather than just a snack. Whether you are craving the smoky richness of bulgogi or the soothing layers of a well-crafted samgyetang, this place invites you back again and again for simple, honest Korean cooking that tastes like home.

I stopped in for dolsot babimbap. It was perfect, just like I remember in Korean. Price was reasonable too. It was a lot of food for $17. My daughter and I shared and we still had lots leftover.

This restaurant is located inside H Mart Northpark, and this was actually my second time visiting. They serve really good quality food here. On my first visit, I had the spicy octopus stone pot bibimbap, and this time I went with the pork cutlet set. Both dishes were delicious and definitely exceeded my expectations. One thing I love is that the prices are noticeably more affordable ($12 - $22) compared to other places in the H Mart food court, yet the food quality is just as good — if not better. Since it’s close to my workplace, it’s super convenient for lunch. Plus, I appreciate that there’s less pressure around tipping, which makes the dining experience feel more relaxed. Overall, it’s a great spot for a quick and satisfying lunch. I’m planning to come back regularly and keep updating my review as I try more dishes!

Been here a few times and it definitely seems like they’ve upgraded their menu. Portions are way bigger and so sooooooo flavorful… HIGHLY recommend their donkatsu and yukgaejang. Can’t wait to come back and try other things on the menu. Totally worth the price and way better than any other korean restaurants in the area. I can see myself being a regular here. So glad I live close by!

Don’t get the hate - rating it for what it’s worth - mall food in a market. I just wish it had a bigger social media presence so I can Yelp it! Salty - sure. Get the solangtang - salt it to your taste. 8/10 at a sit down restaurant = 11/10 at a fast-food food-court. Snobby reviewers out here in Irvine…

I came to this place to just try it out for the first time. And I was pleasantly surprised of the quality and the overall taste of the meal! LA 갈비 (Beef Short Rib) (10/10): One of my favorite things that I ordered. The marination was well done and it was cooked to perfection! Cleaned the meat off the bones for sure! 라면 (Ramen) (9/10): I’ve seen the reviews about the ramen so I wanted to try it as well. And safe to say that I enjoyed this one as well. The ramen noodles was cooked well and the broth was spicy! Right when I got the order, my mouth was definitely watering! I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking to get something simple and tasty! If you’re in the area, or even shopping at Hmart, it wouldn’t hurt to check out this place out! Will be coming back soon!
